Parent Reading Resources!!!

Below is a list of some of my favorite online reading resources. I like FREE...so most of these are free resources. If you are interested in getting some FREE BOOKS to take home that your child can read, just come by my room and I would be happy to give you some.

EPIC Books is an online resource that allows your child to access all kinds of trade books from your computer or tablet. Teachers can access this site for free, while parents can have free access for thirty days and then pay 7.99 per month to keep the subscription. It is like Netflix for books!

ABCYa is another great free website that is leveled by grade and subject area. It offers the user several games to choose from that are grade and age appropriate to work on letter and word skills, math skills, and strategy/skill games. The games are so fun, the kids don't realize they are learning while playing!

Storynory is a website full of classic tales and fairy tales that children can listen to. Simply choose your tale and sit back and listen. This is a great way for kids to visualize the story while they listen. Kids LOVE to be read to, and I know life is busy...so this is a great way to allow your kids to listen to stories while you cook dinner. Another resource similar to this is; Storyline Online. Check both of them out!

Happy Reading!
