Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy

• Bi-annual parent/teacher conferences or bi-annual telephone conferences, if unable to attend conferences

• Written communication including a signed Parent-Student Compact.

Signing the compact indicates that the parent fully understands that optimum student growth occurs when parents, school personnel, and the student work together.  The Parent-Student Compact was composed with input from the administration, classroom teachers, and parents.  The compact will be sent home and signed by parents on an annual basis.

• Frequent conferences and Title I parent meetings will be scheduled to encourage parental involvement.

• Parents will be encouraged to visit the Title I classroom at any time to observe and participate.

• Materials will be available in the Title I classroom for parent check out.
